Everything I've heard is that you need approx. 25K to sustain a full-service grocery store in a neighborhood. Downtown Cleveland is at 10K, and as cle_pride said, that only includes the area from CSU to the East Bank of the Cuyahoga - not Stonebridge. What will be interesting to see is if downtown's current occupancy rate of >90% holds once the new apartments along Euclid come online. You have 200+ units in 668 Euclid, 100+ units above Corner Alley (East 4th), 50+ units in the 1001-1021 buildings, plus the planned projects at CSU.
