The 80 storey tower was a vision, it wasn't actually next to BC Place, it was to be built just outside Gastown, everyone here knows of it as the Fringe project. It was an ugly project that didn't make any sense.
The hotel proposed for the Plaza of nations site will most likely come to fruitation within the next 5yrs. But it will be in the 300' range.
