Of course. Many of the other houses in the area have been town down for townhouses or mini-mansions.
It's actually kind of a shame that the city's zoning laws prevent more density. it would be such an easy neighbourhood to densify if you allowed developers to tear down bungalows to build small apartment buildings. There's even a tiny retail strip nearby that died in the 1990s because nobody shopped on foot anymore. With more density it could be revived.
