I think that 2008 will be a pivotal year for DTLA (not that 2007 wasn't a banner year for new development). We've seen a influx of new residences but now it's up to DTLA to keep them happy. We've got to clean up the streets, improve landscaping, bring in retail that is not just $75-a-plate restraunts, and Pinkberry, and continue to market downtown as the hottest place in LA. But at the same time, do it in a smart way like it has been.
