The North York development is very nice, I think the architecture blends well with the condo nature of that area.
And actually I disagree about the comparisons with New York. I find a lot of Toronto development and/or Torontonians preoccupied with labelling and emulating Manhattan features. Part of why I like the GTA is because its very different from typical American development, and I consider it to be better.
But I guess letting the New York towers in as a tacky carbon copy isn't all bad, I mean Las Vegas has already done that in poor taste. At least Toronto has a functional series of condos instead of a tacky tourist stop.
