Nope we are not elitist snobs. Nor we are utopians -Maybe we see things differently because we actually live in the city and not in the suburbs or a small college town like some. And some of us in here have actually lived in real, international cities and know what that's all about. That NASCAR and Pro Bass stuff is for country hicks and you know it. If that's what you are into then you're are not a real city person -straight up. That's OK. There's nothing wrong with being a country/suburban person. Just don't try to bring your 'values' into the city. The city is supposed to be different. It's not supposed to be the suburbs with skyscrapers. Driving your SUV to Midtown so you can eat at Zócalo and walk around a bit doesn't make you a hip urbanite --sorry.

And yes cars do seem to be kind of anti-urbanism. If fact, it's the over accomodating of the car that has been the source of a lot of problems in NA cities since WWII. Why celebrate a machine that has help to destroy the North American city?
