White Lodging Services Corp. recently submitted a request for bonus height certification for a 35-story hotel tower on Eighth Avenue, according to Metro records. The recent movement on the project comes more than three years after it was revealed. White Lodging Services is eyeing a 789-room hotel, located at 131 Eighth Ave. S., which would make it the third largest hotel in the city based on number of rooms. The firm’s request will go before the Metro Planning Department for approval on Feb. 12.
