If ever Doug Armstrong is still GM of team Canada at the next Olympics, I might boycott the team. If there is one thing I cannot stand is incompetence. The Blues absolutely killing it this season is a testament of his work... oh wait. A guy like Kent Hughes would do a much better job.

The D-core was so badly chosen that I couldn't believe the pylons on defense. Makar was pretty much on his own.
Guys like Sanheim, Doughty, Toews and especially Parayko should never have been in Milan. Absolutely zero transition outside of Makar forcing the top forwards to do it all by themselves.

Compare this with US who had Q. Hughes, Werenski, Sanderson and McAvoy who are all 50+ pts D-man.

Canada had only Makar and Shea Theodore as such.

Guys like Dobson, Schaefer, Chychrun could definitely have replaced some of the pylons we saw. Heck, even Bouchard could have been a better option (and I am not a fan of his defensive game at all).

The missed chances were a killer but i also have to say I am disappointed in McDavid. 3 on 3, you need to make the difference when you are the best player in the world and skate like that.

At least I will watch a team with proper transition from now.
