^19 consecutive days without a max above 0 for us, and we're going to have our 3rd sub -20 low so far this winter on Sunday morning.

I wasn't around in the 1970s when there were some truly brutal winters in southern Ontario, but this one takes the cake for me. We've had it all: snowstorms in early November, record snowfall on a single day, not record colds, but -20 on 3 consecutive weekends.

Let's flip this around: if this were summer, that would be like having +30 in early May, a record torrential downpour on a single day, not record highs, but +35 on 3 consecutive weekends in late July/early August.
