They're decent. But yes the previous design was more striking. This reminds me a bit of 88 Scott in that it has deco touches such as the setbacks and stone-like cladding but doesn't fully commit. And unfortunately, adding deco "touches" doesn't tend to work very well. The style is striking, bold and dramatic. It's austere compared to styles that preceded it, but it is not subtle or understated. But this building feels like you can clearly see the deco touches are superficial with the conventional condo form peeking through.

I also agree that it's silly to call stuff mixed use when a skyscraper with dozens of floors has just a couple floors of office or retail in the podium. Next thing they'll be saying a new hospital is mixed use since it has a small Tim Hortons, pharmacy, and a gift shop in the reception area.
