What a missed opportunity for more Messi.
Go Inter Miami!!! East Coast solidarity!!!! lol
In all seriousness though, I do basically cheer for Messi no matter what, and will be cheering on Inter Miami.
I still think it would be best for the Canadian MLS teams to sell their MLS franchises, then join the CPL as the "big 3" keeping their team names and identity.
Vancouver winning the MLS Cup probably doesn't help the chances of that dream ever happening, as infinitesimally small the chances are already. 😅
I've pretty much almost always rooted against Vancouver and Toronto sports teams other than the Raptors... cheering for the Jays this year was a bit of an exception. I know most Americans won't care about a Canadian team winning the MLS Cup like they'd care about a Canadian team winning the World Series or NBA Championship, as they are sports the American's consider "their own".
I don't tune into the MLS much, unless it's to watch Messi, but I will be watching this one live. Hope it's a high scoring game lol.

The CPL is basically on life support while Forbes will likely peg the Vancouver and Montreal MLS franchises of at least half a billion each (TFC will reach a billion in value this decade, book it), so it'll never happen no matter what they do in the final. Also, Vancouver and Montreal already have CPL franchises so you're basically rooting for their MLS counterparts to fold
The CPL needs to focus on not folding any more franchises rather than expanding any further.
