The issue with the underground parking is that they have to do a lot of rock removal to create the depth beneath the buildings. There have been some similar developments nearby that have had loud noise and vibration for several months, and there is an elderly care home of some sort close by, so that wasn't ideal. I appreciate people not wanting to listen to that all day, but it is a temporary thing. Perhaps the developer can come up with a faster solution.

As for affordability, I don't recall anything about this being an affordable project. It is probably just a portion that is affordable to get the financing.
