Was supposed to have a backyard Christmas party a few weekends ago when it was 5 above. But whole family got sick. Had to postpone until yesterday. It was about -1 with some sun and pretty calm so good enough to stay outside for a couple hours comfortably. Of course, it happened to snow Friday overnight so had to clear my deck with the shovel. On a related note, got to go tobogganing for the first time this winter on Saturday in peak conditions.
For the party I messaged all the parents and told them their kid should bring stretchy gloves with them so they can pick up stuff like candy and chocolate. Only 5 of 13 did so. Impossible to pick up the stuff with bulky gloves on.
I have a few pairs myself in different colours to match my coat or shoes and it sure is a lot easier to handle things instead of bulky gloves. I thought everyone would have them.
