Agree, we have softened up a little but it's only normal when -20C nights become so rare (haven't had one in more than 2 years) and when double digits negative highs become newsworthy (MTL has had 4 sub -10C highs total in the last year).
-7C with a wind chill of -14 and some sun mixed with the clouds. Still that nasty wind.
Low of -12C (wind chill of -22) this morning. Once that wind calms down, we might get back to more normal winter weather. But it's been non-stop day and night for about 4-5 days now. Wind, wind, wind.
The warmspot was Kindakun Rocks, BC at 12.6C.
Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 8.8C.
