If your definition of skyscraper is 150m+, the City of Chicago is ahead of the City of Toronto and will still have a lead when buildings currently under construction top out: 141 vs 127. By metropolitan area, Chicago MSA has the lead but Toronto CMA will move ahead when buildings currently under construction top out: 141 vs 150. Chicago in Green Toronto in Blue

150m+ Buildings (City Proper)

Built: 139 vs 100
U/C: 2 vs 27
TOTAL: 141 vs 127

150m+ Buildings (Metropolitan Area)

Built: 139 vs 111
U/C: 2 vs 39
TOTAL: 141 vs 150

To tabulate 150m+ buildings in the Chicago MSA one has to cover Chicago, Itasca, and Oakbrook Terrace
To tabulate 150m+ buildings in the Toronto CMA one has to cover Toronto, Mississauga, and Vaughan
