Probably the first idea would be to restore PAX service to the closest stations to Freddy (Junction or McGivney as noted), and then set up a synchronized Maritime Bus service from downtown to that station.

Eventually we would need/want to push the station closer. Getting it back into the downtown core will be difficult to impossible, but we should be able to find some routes to get to the outskirts at least which would make it more reasonable for use. Especially if it could be pushed into Oromocto to tap into the Base.
Roughly how many people go to Gagetown every year? 10,000 or more/less? I have no idea. I was wondering before in regards to shared SJ/Fredericton airport.

Passenger rail could make two or even one airport for all of southern NB possible. It should be looked at far more seriously, especially considering our relatively small geographical size compared to other provinces in Canada.

A Saint John -> Digby -> Yarmouth -> Lunenberg -> Halifax train could do wonders if it linked up with the Amtrak and took advantage of the Digby Ferry route. It would also be a lot more marketable than the current VIA Ocean train, which is a bit of a misnomer, as it’s mainly forests rather than oceans that you see on that train between Halifax, Moncton, and Montreal.
