I'm not always a fan of the newest buildings either, but IMO those that have being built in the downtown area are looking much better than what you find in the suburbs.

For several years, I had concentrated myself a bit too much on the old town, that's why I try to share pictures from the surrounding areas. I'm convinced that Québec City has much more to offer than the old town itself, even if it's the most beautiful part. I think it's an invitation for tourists to venture outside of the old town.

I used to live in the Montcalm district (Which I adored!) but I moved in Charlesbourg since 2018. The Trait-Carré area is quite nice and has kept that ''village'' feel.
