It's all about fitting more people in. History be damned. All things considered, history is somewhat superficial to other concerning legacies. It's unfathomable to Torontonians that the deteriorating standard of living represented by so many developments including this one may negatively impact the desire of people to settle in Toronto. Suggesting the probability of population decline far into the future as a result of the continued trajectory we currently ride would constitute a special jacket and a ride in a white unmarked van out of the city.

The 200 plus towers under construction form an impressive skyline all by themselves and significant growth to the existing skyline and yet every future skyline drawing produced includes every zoning bylaw amendment exercise. There's that unrelenting hope that every single one of these towers will be built and filled with content new Canadians.
