There seem to be a whole bunch of these types of proposals popping up around the GTA/Golden Horseshoe of late - large, suburban oriented tower communities on isolated industrial sites, like this one in Waterloo:

I don't really see the appeal of this, or the logic from a city building perspective. Human warehousing comes to mind.
