I'm a bit surprised that they didn't fully wrap the trains in protective film/plastic. A cross-country drive in winter conditions (such as they are) is going to put the nice clean cars through the wringer. Not just superficial dirt and grime, but actual damage from kicked up stones and the ingress of salty water spray that will find every gap, seam, and vent grill where it will freeze and heave. I wouldn't be a comfortable customer right now.

Good point, although it is possible that they held off on wrapping the train cars so that the photo would look better.
