You will find a lot of islands who have a delayed first freeze due to warm water temperatures at this time of the year.
Unfortunate those islands are not located in Europe because they would be subtropical at this latitude. Instead, they have non-existent summers.
You need to go to the 32th parallel (Bermuda) for the climate to become interesting.
