It
is very 80s/90s inspired - clearly part of the PoMo revival of the last few years - but to say that it's bad because it reminds you of the Eau Claire mall is like saying the Chrysler Building is ugly because it's reminiscent of that tacky Vegas casino. One is of an actual architectural style, the other is the pastiche version.
