I'm not sure what that two-year-old article said...it was from a publication which required me to take down all of your ad/malware blockers to read (SimplyFlying) - and I was not going to do that.
I typically get necessary data directly from ABIA themselves.
It would not make any sense for ABIA to take Gate 11 offline and use it as an additional hardstand gate. It's always been Gate 13 and it is in the midst of an expansion and will be plenty capable of operating while Gate 11 is in regular use.
