Winnipeg | U of M Bannatyne Campus | Dr. Gerald & Reesa Niznick Centre | U/C

Dr. Gerald and Reesa Niznick Centre

Location: McDermot Ave & Tecumseh St
Architect: Prairie Architects
Description: The Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry will occupy two floors of the new Centre with a 33,770-square-foot purpose-built space. This space will include the undergraduate and specialty clinics, forming the largest dental clinic in Manitoba, consisting of 56 operatories, and five specialty clinics with 29 operatories, housing the graduate specialty programs. Designed to meet the needs of the College now and into the future, this opportunity comes at a critical time. It replaces current infrastructure that is over 30 years old and in crucial need of updating for accreditation standards.

^Thanks for posting and starting this thread. I was just by this site yesterday and was wondering what it was going to be!

That area is really shaping up! Would love to see developers develop up and down Bannatyne and McDermot and create a really nice neighbourhood between HSC/the UofM Campus & the Exchange!

Such a unique area. You could get randomly stabbed with a screwdriver in the face by some meth head or you could have all your ailments cured. It's Winnipeg roulette at its finest!

Photo's about a week old, but eh, close enough.

This site is normally fairly busy, so I assume I caught them on lunch break.
