The West Campus project known as Marvin Gardens from a site plan filing three weeks ago will be another tall one. A design intake permit filed today indicates that it is a 30-story apartment tower.

As someone on Twitter commented, it's by the Short Line.

I hear they'll have wheelbarrow valet parking.

I'll play along...here's the rendering:

I was wondering why the name was so familiar, and odd.

The rendering is very nice, especially since it doesn't have a parking podium! Very sleek.

More info was added to the site plan today. This will be 31-stories plus 4 underground levels.

EDIT: The site plan drawings were added to the site plan application on 4/27. They don't include the elevations. But they do collaborate that floor 31 is an amenity level and not mechanical.

My god. What could they possibly want with so many underground levels? it's not like you have to put PARKING down there or anything.

More elevations from today. This came up short of being a new WC tallest. It's around 310'.

Those drawings make me want to think of a shorter Austonian... It does look rounded or oval shaped, or maybe it's just the crown that is more rounded?

It’s design on the blue print is very nice. WC gettin a good one fosho

Is it just me, or does the name really evoke thoughts of public housing? Anything that ends in “gardens” leaves that impression and I wonder if they’re gonna end up changing the name.

It always makes me think of the board game Monopoly. I had to look at the original Monopoly board to see exactly where Marvin Gardens was. It's sandwiched between "Waterworks" and the "Go to Jail" corner. :haha:

It's West Campus housing. It's bound to have at least three name changes before construction even starts.

My bad. I meant mental health treatment facilities.
