Anyone else having problems accessing it?

I can't get on to it via Google Chrome or Firefox or even :slob: Microsoft Edge on my desktop. Same issue with the laptop in the house. I could get to the start page on my Iphone on Safari. Even installed Opera browser and no luck.

Other people I interact with who use it have the same issue but some people have no problem.

I have a ticket with ottawa311 but not sure if that will do much.

I don't have an issue from my personal computer but my work computer does seem to take issue with the site starting this week.

I figured it was just some weird IT rules that was causing the problem.

Works on Chrome, Opera and Edge on my Windows PC, does not load on Firefox.

Worked on my phone, but I was having issues with ESRI cloud services this week with some of the AWS outages. Try clearing your cache and cookies as well for the site.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully it fixes itself. I did clear the cookies and that didn't do anything. I did see a message on Firefox that there were too many redirects.

I also went to Windows 11 and that didn't fix it. Its incredible how often I use it. However, it isn't 100 % accurate in terms of lot lines etc.

It's working in Firefox (91.4.1 ESR) on Windows 10 for me. Perhaps they've corrected the issue by now.

It works fine with Opera, but loads endlessly with Firefox for me. I'm using Linux Mint.

Doesn't work on Opera. I got a 'too many redirects' message on Opera.

I've tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera. Any other options?

GeoOttawa still works for me with my NON-updated Edge, but Firefox updated itself to 95.01 and GeoOttawa will not load in Firefox any more - Too many redirects.

It works on Chrome and Firefox again. Staff at the City had to tweak some settings related to Java Script I gather. I'm not sure why it made it impossible for some to get on to the site and others had no problem.

Unfortunately, during my time away from the website, the zoning didn't get simplified :):)

I've discovered GeoGatineau! Not quite as exciting as GeoOttawa though.

I was looking to see what land the city needed to acquire for the Baseline-Greenbank intersection rebuild. In geoOttawa, I selected the layer Property Parcels and, under that, selected City Owned Lands. This highlighted all of the city-owned lands in blue (the default colour). It does not colour in road allowances, so any areas beside the road that were previously acquired as an expansion of the road allowance don’t get highlighted.

I was a bit surprised to see the homes along the south of Baseline that have been acquired by the city, presumably for this project. I suspect that the land was bought so that slivers can be taken off; then the remaining land will be resold.

The land acquired from Pinecrest Cemetery had to taped to the east because it could not go any further due to occupied burial plots. It will be interesting to see what happens when – IF – the western half of the Baseline BRT is built.

It looks as if the city owns most of the land fronting on Albert through LeBreton Flats. Also, Wellington, in front of Parliament Hill is being shown as city owned land – and NOT as a road allowance (which are not coloured).

Surprisingly, it is also showing the land that the NAC is built on as being owned by the city.

The NAC land was the site of Ottawa City Hall that burned down in 1931

Some very confusing stuff here. The NAC stands on the former site of City Hall and the Police Station, but surely there was some private ownership around there as well. And are we to believe the Feds built the NAC on City land? Is the NAC leasing the land from the City to this day?

Map also shows the City owning the old Zellers and attached office building. Obviously they had some sort of agreement with the developer to build the subway entrance, but I doubt they expropriated the entire land under them. Same with PdV II (minus the Marriott) or Claridge Moon/Skye. Also shows the City owning the Alterna site where Relevé and Marriott Renaissance ar/going up. I think the City considered buying part of that site for a subway entrance, but I don't think they went through with it. And Minto Place?

And then LeBreton, the Sens parcel is shown to be the City's. If that was the case, I'm sure Sutcliffe would have been far more disruptive to the arena talks.

I have some severe doubt that this is fully accurate.

Am I imagining things, or didn't there use to be a federal/NCC-owned lands layer?

How does the city not own the land that the Lemieux Island water plant is on?

Looks like they were taken around late March / early April 2025 by the progress of key projects such as the new apartments at Booth and Albert.
