Recommendations for new moderator for Manitoba & Saskatchewan?

Hi all,

We've realized this section of the forum needs at least another moderator to help out, maybe two. I'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions for who might be a good candidate for moderator?

My vote goes to Simplicity, Esquire, Cyro or Riverman, all solid/thoughtful contributors to the MB./SK. threads!

Cyro

For me, I would nominate esquire as well. We need someone who is here everyday and constantly contributing to the subforum. He fits that bill.

Dalreg Nov 4, 2015 12:49 PM

Migs gets my vote.

esquire Nov 4, 2015 12:49 PM

Thank you for the nominations, but I moderated a forum once before and that was enough for me... I am retired from moderating ;)

The other suggestions so far all sound good to me!

Come on Esquire, come out of retirement and do us all a favour.

it is allot of work and when u get busy its hard to keep up been contiplating asking for help or resigning

no to simplicity

esquire yes

Riverman Nov 4, 2015 1:40 PM

Simplicity.

only here would simplicity, a guy who got thrown out of the forum several times for being a complete a-hole, get nominated as moderator. Hilarious. It would have to be someone who is actually "moderate" to be a moderator. But he's no longer here - unless he's going to make a triumphant Russ Wyatt style return.

No kidding, eh? But the idea is good for a LOL

What about Stormer from the Saskatchewan side of things? I think Stormer gets a lot of respect from the fellow posters on here as I don't see Stormer being biased one way or another towards any of the posters.

Cyro for MB. He already tries his hand at moderation by creating more specific threads when necessary, and then encouraging others to post there.

It really needs to be someone who *generally* isn't antagonistic, so of those nominated so far, Simplicity is a complete non-starter, as is Riverman to a lesser extent (not that there is anything terrible with be antagonistic, it can be entertaining, but not a quality of a moderator IMO).

^ Good point... cyro kind of has been a de facto moderator for the last little while.

I like how he encourages discussion and dialogue... the Sask/Man subforum's own Phil Donahue :)

Yes, Cyro would be good as well.

SkydivePilot Nov 4, 2015 4:56 PM

Stormer/Migs. (For Sask.)

Dan0myte Nov 4, 2015 4:57 PM

I'd second the motion to appoint Stormer.
