Hamilton Webcams

There are a few things this city doesn't have...

I know it's petty at best, but we don't even have a decent webcam to view from home or away from home for that matter.

The CH TowerCam is the only real live view of the city we Hammerheads get but that's only during broadcasts. The MTO traffic cams don't qualify either.

On the waterfront...King and James...from the top of Sam Laurence, MAC hell...even the airport would be something neat to look at every now and than. I know we have a few companies in the surrounding areas would enjoy broadcasting live views

We should get the ball rolling on something like this!

Great idea, we as Hamiltonians are naturals with social media.

A great spot would be at Williams at Pier 8, see people skating.

A lot of webcams across Canada have gone out of order. Most cams working are not of high definition nor are streaming. Other parts of the World have great coverage. All of Canada needs improvement. Hamilton could be an incubator of change.

Here's a list of webcams in Canada: http://www.stormpost.com/cams.pl

If ever you wanna scope of what the country looks like in one sitting, try http://members.shaw.ca/wpgwx/robsobs/ywgcams.htm

- From Victoria to St.Johns with weather temps too!

Back to Hamilton though, it shouldn't be that hard to get something set up...even Brantford, Welland, Cambridge and Grimsby have them...are we really that ugly in the light? :D

Maybe when I move out and grab an apartment along Concession St. with one of those kickass views, I'll be the catalyst.

Back to generic conversation, Halifax imo byfar has the greatest set of them and super clear too with a timelapse option (oooh ahhh) Maybe we can swoon some kind of liquid media company that's local to start something up? I know we "did" at John and Main I think for awhile between 2005-2008 or something facing towards Landmark Place
