Local v. Tourist photos of the capital

I came across a link featuring graphics from cities all across the world, and including this one which charts the distribution of photos across the city, and categorizes them based on whether they are taken by locals or tourists.

You can definitely locate some of the landmarks downtown: Parliament Hill, the War Museum, the NAG and Notre Dame Basilica, the Museum of Civilization, and the War Memorial are very noticeable downtown. Some of the major spots in Gatineau Park are also noticeable: King Mtn, Kingsmere, and Pink Lake. It is interesting to notice that Hogsback Falls and Mooneys Bay have a significant concentration of photos, but almost entirely from locals.

Anyway, hope someone else finds this as interesting as I do.

Yes, it is very interesting..thanks for providing the link....however, I am a bit mystified why more tourists aren't heading to Merivale Road to take pictures.:jester:

Haha... I'm probably responsible for most of those Aylmer ones... I always geotag my pics and I am pretty sure the photos that make up the huge blob on my street are all mine (unless I have a neighbour doing the same thing as me?)
