Great idea Architype.
Some other existing threads Mishmash of various cities: Canon Film SLR...Freddy, SJ, Hali, Sydney, CB New Brunswick: Saint John: Oblique Aerial Photos (from 2005)(by kwajo) Saint John: Part 1 - Driving around Woodstock, NB (:: Fredericton, New Brunswick Photos ::)(by stupendousmat2) I had some of New Glasgow and Amherst as well, but they've been trimmed. I have more than are currently posted at my pbase website here, including Moncton, Edmundston, Campbellton, Bathurst, Miramichi (both sides), Summerside, Charlottetown, Fortress Louisbourg, CB Scenery, Amherst, Oxford, New Glasgow, Halifax, and some Guysborough County scenery. The galleries are the ones surrounded by two colons ( :: ) on each side. |
Thanks, I will check, as I was just in the process of adding some more. It's also good to post comments too, (like this), because picture threads can get really heavy to load for those with slow internet. :)

Here's a good place to begin the thread -

Nice additions. I'm wondering how my "year in review" got into "found photos"...oh well, it's old anyway. You also reminded me I didn't do a year in review this year, 2007 was kinda slow for me though, Freddy, SJ, Chatham, Sydney, Halifax, and Woodstock and I think that was it. '08's off to a slow start too. Maybe I'll do something for my 1,000th post which is coming up, if I manage to catch it. :haha:
A couple of repeats from old trimmed threads (keeping with the "scenic" theme and all my own): Waves near New Harbour, Guysborough County. http://www.pbase.com/smevo/image/89633640.jpg Marble Mountain Beach on Bras D'Or Lake http://www.pbase.com/smevo/image/54718225.jpg Uisge Ban (pronounced Ishga Ban) Falls, outside Baddeck http://www.pbase.com/smevo/image/47356442.jpg Looking into St. Ann's Bay from Indian Brook, Cabot Trail http://www.pbase.com/smevo/image/47357838.jpg  |
^ Nice additions, in fact those are beautiful. I like that this thread should be about more than just cities and skylines, and can include other things which Atlantic Canada is very good at, like scenery and heritage.
Your "year in review" thread got in there after I searched through the threads for pretty much everything. Some of those I think I missed before. |
Here's an iceberg near St. John's, early June 2007, with Signal Hill in the background.

Some years not many reach this far south or this close to shore. |

Nice additions! There's plenty of areas to represent in Atlantic Canada in a thread like this, urban and scenic alike, and I want to see all of them, dammit! :haha:
No, really though, the more the merrier, but definitely only a couple shots per post to keep it easy to load. :) |
^Nice, but where is Redhead, PEI? When I Google it, it just comes up with Ann of Green Gables (seriously).
|
Redhead is near Saint John, NB. ;)
