Building on Cannon b/w MacNab and Park

The second floor of that building on Cannon is going up. I think this is supposed to house an asian market.

That's cool, I thought it was gonna be a one floor and look like a strip mall.

I assume the current building isn't part of that, cause it sure doesn't look anything like the rendering...

the dude Nov 1, 2007 8:33 PM

those are some of the ugliest renderings ever!! ya, the design's changed but i still don't have much hope for this project.

block43 Nov 1, 2007 8:36 PM

I don't think the building will look anything like that rendering.

raisethehammer Nov 1, 2007 8:54 PM

at least it's two friggin floors.

DC83 Nov 1, 2007 9:03 PM

What's going on the 2nd floor?
Apts or Offices?

It seems as though it's going to be better than the original rendering!? Hmm... we'll have to wait n see.

SteelTown Nov 1, 2007 10:17 PM

My Vietnamese friend said the 2nd floor will mostly be like doctor's office and things like acupuncture.

raisethehammer Nov 3, 2007 3:39 PM

looks like it will be bigger than the original rendering....i wonder if there's any chance for a 3rd floor!

the dude Nov 21, 2007 1:43 AM

they've begun to put up the facade on the building. it's stone around the base. we'll see if they continue with that or switch to brick.

the dude Dec 9, 2007 7:07 PM

the new rendering is posted out front. gotta say, it's lookin' pretty damned good. i'll try to get a photo sometime soon.

hahaha has it changed your mind, yet? hehe

Ya, I'm sure the stone will prolly go up about 3'-4' with as a decorative trim. Then either brick or stucco to the top of the structure. That seems to be the trend now-a-days. Look at Homewood Suites.

raisethehammer Dec 9, 2007 9:05 PM

yup...looks like stucco above the stone on the rendering.
still, the new rendering is WAY better than that original one.

the dude Feb 2, 2008 4:50 PM

the western side of this building has been finished in grey stucco. looks decent. kind of a bad time of year to be doing that sort of work.

raisethehammer Feb 2, 2008 5:00 PM

stucco always looks bad....its decent, I guess. ugly regardless of the colour they chose.
