great pics. looks like there's really healthy streetlife there...why don't we have that in america?
you focused in on the wrong person in this photo though ;) http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...mmer/00243.jpg - |
...and it sounds like the hammer will live better once the provincial government is through........congrats to Hamilton....well deserved. Excellent post too btw.
|
i like it! that close-up of toronto is great. makes it look even closer than it is. it's those shots of the streetlife that makes it a great set, though.

Delicious.

Looks more vibrant than all but a handful of U.S. cities...
You have a reputation for excellent urban grit photos, flar... but this proves that you are also capable of creating such seriously beautiful compositions. The last Hamilton skyline shot... the Toronto skyline shots... the dude in the 2nd photo and the first steel mill pics are my faves... and this is the most badass mural ever: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...mer/00217a.jpg |
The Hammer is definately alive and well. Wonderful photos.
|
Nice job flar!
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...mmer/00195.jpg Cool you can see the crane between First Place and Ramada. Should be a nice infill project. |
wow...amazing flar.
couple questions/observations: - a new cafe opened on concession near the new condo tower?? have to check it out. - what is the 5 storey building that is being completely gutted?? - where did you get the pics in Durand? a friends apartment? great pics |
Sweeeeeeeet.
|
Just excellent with the details, thank you.
|
Bloody excellent. You've done it again :)
Sometimes I just don't notice all of the beautiful things in the Hammer that you capture. It really is awesome to live here. |
Lovely work, Flar! All Hamiltonskeptics need to have a look at this thread -- it'll change their image of the city.
|
love seeing shots of my house in threads!
|

-The pics from Durand are from the rooftop patio of the Conservatory for the Arts. That was at Doors Open Hamilton--Steeltown and Miketoronto were there too. Quote:
