It looks odd in the model having skyscrapers and a few blocks over having a flat parkinglot with trees. Any bets on how long that'll last?

looks sort of like an oddly-reconceived brasilia, particularly the twin towers framing an enormous plaza. who is going to be walking around in that thing? seems like an epic waste/deadening of space.

^True that it does look like there's a fair bit of wasted space but in China , that's usually part of the plan. Don't forget , we're talking about a country where there is no wasted space. The idea is to at least give people the impression of openness .
