The real fun starts at 10:15 with the sweeping right turn to the first good idea of the massiveness that is Midtown. At about 11:05 we get our first good look from this approach to the urban growth spurt that is my dearly departed YiaYia's Long Island City. My point here is 111, Nordstrom, and 1V are surprisingly difficult to catch first time. 53W53/Verre, OTOH, is easy to spot. And 30H just looks outright small. Even when 111 and Nordie top out, they're still gonna look a good deal like just slightly taller members of the family rather than the giants they are. FWIW I offered some quick obs in the comments section of his vid on YT iself. |

This is a tower for the architect book illustrations.
Literally, when you go to Barnes and Nobles, you will see an architect book years from now, with the cover illustration as this tower. "Architecture 101, Principles of How to Build a World Icon" Likewise with Verre. These are gold standard towers. Also motivation, for the Kaufman like architects of the world, who maybe need that mental breakthrough to transform shit into gold. |
