Not too bad in the daytime

This is the Hamilton that I think the average Joe pictures in his mind.

Wow:cheers:

Rough, no doubt, but as with any of these places, full of character.

Such an interesting city...
Oh, what stories these storefronts tell! Quote:

Man, that is one ugly ass town.
In a good way. |
Gritty areas can be so fascinating. Like others said, lot's of character and stories embedded in these shots. I really like the library building.
|
Interesting part of town!! Thanks for showing us!! :)
|
Love Grit!!
|
great gritty thread
|
It may be rough but it sure is enjoyable to view. That part of town has some character. Thanks for sharing!

excellent collection, Flar...
this type of "endless" 4-lane commercial corridor reminds me of Cleveland http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...lton/00033.jpg |
Thanks!

Excellent photography. The scenes make me shiver.
|
Thanks!
There is plenty to explore in the east end. There is a huge area of East Hamilton built in the first few decades of the 1900s that helps define the city in many minds. I would have especially liked to get more residential shots, the houses further east are a bit less interesting visually than many of my other tours, but there are a few interesting neighbourhoods and some history that I would have liked to show. |
I aint afraid of no ghost
nice set |
Heavy, to be sure. Wonderfully captured by you, flar, as always.
|
We are lucky to see these quickly disappearing streetscapes! Especially with you taking these incredible pictures!
I guess Ottawa seems almost sterile after Hamilton doesn't it? |
You've got a knack for starting your threads with dynamite photos.
