What's the deal with leaving that last crappy little building facing Edgar? The site has some cool potential for creating a flatiron type design especially if it spanned over Edgar and included that little triangular island as part of the parcel.

Yea I see your point. It is an eye sore. Zooming in on the large rendering, it becomes apparent. Hopefully they do something with that.

Just when you think Downtown can't get any crazier. But as I recall, there are between 3 or 4 msf of unused air rights in that area that can likely go to residential development. So we haven't seen the last of it yet.

This would form a nice sandwich of 125 Greenwich with 4 WTC.

Wow, that was unexpected! Also, it seems they can go even higher.

So we have 125 Greenwich, 80 South, the Broad St site and now this as four potential supertalls besides the WTC. Love it! :cheers:

It does not look that bad here, it can be a little cute buildings if renovated. Plus, the little structure that is currently in front of it is gone thus opening up the street

There was some speculation that the garage right next to it would be razed and the site redeveloped but nothing has happened since. Yet, in due time we can get something there, too! More promising site is 111 Washington but doubt it would be a supertall

That garage will go eventually. This is in the early planning stages at the moment and I would pay attention to the massing not the design specifics. With over 1 MSF there is no reason this wouldn't be 1,250'+ IMO.

wow i didnt see this one coming. is this the massive old syms store bldg site? i wondered what would happen to that, not surprised. if so, there are actually two small bldgs on one end of it + an empty lot on the corner of trinity pl & rector and then thrre is one small bldg on the other end of it.

Trinity Place Holdings is the prospective developer.

Let’s take a look at 42 Trinity Place compared to its NYC supertall, residential cousins. This top 10 list includes residential buildings proposed, under construction and recently completed.
