Wow that's a lot of brick. That must have really been something when it was first around.
Great pics but I was taken aback by the lack of people pics lol. |
Awesome awesome awesome tour!
WOW! I had no idea this existed in Winnipeg! And it does look a bit like Chicago. Thanks!
Amazing shots Flar! Despite the weather, you've given forumers a glimpse of what the Exchange has to offer...
you managed to capture both the glory and sad dilapidation of Winnipeg's architectural heritage. So many great buildings waiting for a bit of the imagination that put them up in the first place.
Wonderful collection of pictures! Thanks for showing.
I had no idea such a neighborhood existed. Awesome shots. Thanks for the tour and the history lesson!
Hella brick! 10/10 tour! Best aspect of Winnipeg I've seen! I am totally enjoying that I am seeing-

Great photos, flar...
Flar-- your threads always impress, and this one is no exception. I love the architecture and character of Winnepeg!
Holy shit that was unexpected, that's beautiful. It's rare to see density like this outside of downtown in American cities. Go winnipeg!
Lots of good bones in that city
Winnipeg is "winning!"
Great thread. Really makes me wish I had stopped for the night last time I was there rather than barreling right through. Kudos.
These are stunning! The detail of sharpness in your photos is amazing. What lens did you use if I may ask?
Excellent thread!
I used to love biking in the Exchange when I lived in the ole Peg. |
They don't make them like that any more!
Love this detail: http://www.metroperspectives.com/img...44855455-5.jpg |
Great job Flar! There is a lot of quality in that built environment. It is good to see some rehabs going on though. I like the big outsatnding friezes on top of buildings in pictures 5, 7, 11 and 22. I never tire of that architecture. It is soothing and well proportioned. 22 looks like a hotel, a hell of a nice building.
