I have to say I officially love this tower!

This is going to be incredible. WOW!

Very elegant design. Wish this would be there in November during my trip. Beautiful tower and original too. :worship:

It looks just like the plot diagram indicated, the tower integrated with Steinway Hall, and the main shaft in the center of the lot. I also think the crown
complements the crown on One57.

I wish they could turn this tower 180 degrees and have the stepped back side facing the park.

I noticed that like One57, the park facing side is different. In this case, it's most likely for the panoramic views.

True. Itll be a pretty nice view from the back as well, getting better the higher you go.
also, is southern exposure more desirable for terraces?

If the middle section of Steinway is not landmarked I don't understand the hesitation to make the tower wider, bringing it in line with the western edge of the Steinway lot. This seems a no brainier to me, it makes possible a wider, less scary thin tower and adds units, which means more $.

The "invisible Monopoly game" of assembling contiguous lots and piling up air rights, the options for optimizing floor plans and ceiling heights, and the simulation of views and lifestyles of the future domiciles in showrooms and on websites are other topics.

I absolutely love this design, hope to see it start to rise sooner than later.

It gives a good idea of what the side facade will look like. If you look closely to the straight side (right side of the picture) it looks like the glass will be separated at each individual floor. I like that.

I wonder what will be the height of the highest occupied floor?

I was worried because I really liked the original 600ft+ design, but this is definitely better. It's going to look amazing with the other supertalls at from Central Park.

Hopefully they add a nice lighting scheme to this to make it shine...

Best looking building in the world since the early 1930s and a true masterpiece of architecture far as I'm concerned. This tower will be a sight to behold and it could become the 5th main landmark in the city along with the ESB, WTC, Chrysler building and the Statue of Liberty.
