Fantastic material for super light bike frames. I know about folks who would spend quite a bit of their incomes for such great bikes.
But then, don't you ever leave it in town, or nasty Gypsies over here will steal it. :hell: You see racing bikes all over the Tour de France? One of these costs more than your car. Carbon fiber frames... |
Is the price coming down. I also want to know more about how much it costs compared to steel :)

It’s still difficult to make and is only justified for specialized applications. This can’t be deployed for major construction. Scaling this up would require phenomenal amounts of equipment and energy demands we’ve never seen in manufacturing before. It’s irresponsible to pursue construction applications when this sector is trying to reduce energy costs and environmental impact.
