Metro Vancouver Restaurant News thread
Since it kind of hard to start a thread for each closure, I thought this might help.
First off: Delilah's. I was surprised it closed, it was such a West End fixture. When did that happen? |
Also, as I mentioned recently, Pings on Main is no longer. Sadness.

The Keg on Dunsmuir closed last week. There are signs in the window suggesting something "new" coming, but no Keg logo, so it doesn't appear to be renovations...
Just a Keg, I know, but it had been there for as long as I can remember! |
:previous: The Keg Caesars? Yeah, that's a surprise, it's been there forever. Perhaps the new Keg location opening up at the Mansion on Davie might have something to do with it.

possible closing...
Restaurant chain under protection BY ALFIE LAU, ROYAL CITY RECORD AUGUST 18, 2010 Hon's Wun-Tun House is under creditor protection. In papers filed on July 5, the restaurant, now with four locations -- Chinatown and Robson Street in Vancouver, Sunwood Square in Coquitlam and 408 Sixth St. in New Westminster -- owes more than $400,000 to its creditors. Earls in White Rock just closed down. They were there for 18 years or something like that.
|
Oops, apparently I was wrong and Delilah's didn't close down, it was temporarily renamed for a TV show or something.

Aquariva (the restaurant at Granville Square) will be closing at the end of the year.
|
Are they closing or just moving? I heard someone mentioning an existing restaurant was looking to move into the old Metro space at Waterfront Centre but I didn't hear which restaurant it was.

Anyone know whats going on with Capones in Yaletown? I read they were doing renovations a few months ago, is that still going on? The website doesn't work anymore. Any insight?
