Beautiful. I will be visiting Hong Kong later this month. I can't wait to see the skyline in person.

Those are some great shots of Hong Kong. What a great skyline.

Adding 2...
Taken on April 16. A tiny bit of haze, but for HK this still is a clear day.

I think I would rank it as the #1 skyline in the world today.
Thanks for sharing the photos. |
Adding one more..
Adding one - this time no sunset or night, a plain daylight shot.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3025/...ab556d44_b.jpg Shot on June 4 2008, from the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade. Stitched panorama, from 5 pictures - covering nearly 180° view angle. A larger size is as usual available on flickr - enjoy. Pictures are © All Rights Reseved by me. |
Too beautiful! Anticipated very much later will go to Hong Kong that one day, I must continue to try hard.
Some time, I thought that our City ChongQing looks like very much with Hong Kong,So,I hoped that ChongQng's tomorrow will also look like Hong Kong to be equally happy. Refuels Hong Kong ,Refuels ChongQing! http://www.panoramio.com/photos/original/11140434.jpg http://static2.bareka.com/photos/medium/11139501.jpg http://static1.bareka.com/photos/medium/11140400.jpg |

Instead of just the well known Hong Kong Island skyline, this shot shows a different view: Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour and a bit of Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) - Hong Kong's other skyline at night. The most prominent skyscrapers on the island (left) are Jardine House, 1&2 Exchange Square, The Center and 2IFC. Kowloon side it's the new ICC (still under construction), this will be Hong Kong's tallest building once finished. Kowloon side also features the Ocean Terminal. Shot from the HKCEC promenade. Cropped down panorama from a single shot done @ 12mm focal length. Picture is © All Rights Reseved by me. |
And one of Tsim Sha Tsui - Kowloon side:

Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui East at night. Featured are (to name a few) the new ICC (tall, dark building left), the Ocean Terminal, Star House, the Clock Tower, the Museum of Arts. Why does nobody shoot the skyline of Kowloon? Well. apart from being far less impressive than the skyline of Hong Kong Island, these shots face one difficulty: The rapidly changing and most of the time (99% of it actually) way too bright advertising of the Prudential Insurance atop of Star House. Have been lucky here, only got the text... Shot from the HKCEC promenade. Picture is © All Rights Reseved by me. |
Causeway Bay and Wanchai Skyline

OMG!! soooo nice city!! I love it!

I went to HK this summer and I had many things that I didn't expect.
I've never seen a 1-2story building in Hong Kong before. Second, HKIsland is barely visible from other places in HK. Third, the buildings are larger, brighter, and the skyline is better in person! Hehe, don't ever judge on pictures. Even the best picture of the best skyline, seeing in person is better than that! Anyways, the worst ride was when we were in Mong Kok driving to Tsim Sha Shui with my cousin so we could watch the light show. There was a huge traffic and took exactly 1 hour to get there! Oh my god, I was so lucky that they were still introducing the buildings/companies that supported the light show. My cousin lived in HK for his whole entire life and it's his first time seeing it btw lol! |

Should have taken the subway (MTR), you would have got there in 5 mins! |
