I find it interesting that CPT, 220 CPS, and 111 W 57th all have basically forgone having web listings of units. I guess that is the state of billionaire real estate. I don't think I've seen a single public listing for any of them yet.

Haven't been back to NYC for 5 years, I only drove through the city today on the way to Massachusetts so I grabbed some quick photos of the skyline.

I’m not trying to start another debate here,
but that logo would look better with a spire . . - Skyguy 7 sweet sentiment, skyguy 7. . I do like the logo just fine . . a nice intertwining of letters . . . but we DO need that spire . . that simple, elegantly proportioned deco spire . . not on the logo, of course, . . but in the high niche . . in the recess in the NE corner of CPT's otherwise bland "crown" . . Without this particular compelling accessory, . . once offered, then snatched away . . the NYC skyline is dominated by mere "foreign" bombastic banality . . Who amongst us, actually gives a shit . . how the expensive CPT apartments, for super rich Chinese, will look inside ? . . There's no observation deck for us average New Yorkers . . no ambitious crowning gesture on America's preeminent premises . . no triumphant emblem of exuberance to connect with us dreamers of vision . . instead Extell gives us an emphatic "Shhh!, The foreign rich deserve our discretion!' . . (while lavishly presiding over us . . ostentatiously removed in their highfalutin tower . . without a smidgeon of alleviating architectural elegance, offered to us, on the outside . . not one dollop of design deliciousness . . Such Jurisprudence !!!!! Yeah comrades, what do WE get to see ? . . nuttin' much. we get lambasted with an ominous overhang . . we get an absolutely KILLJOY crown . . and we get unapologetically cold dispassionate inhospitable walls . . 1555,555500 feet high ! . . oh boy ! . . a really big, really bad, tasteless building . . and yeah, that one element, could've made all the difference . . so disappointing. |
Are we starting to see some setback here? looks like it

Yes, above that mechanical level is where it should be. It's a small one, but it's there. http://a4.pbase.com/o9/06/102706/1/1...imQA1JK.c4.JPG http://a4.pbase.com/o9/06/102706/1/1...0151219182.png |

This pic from the Verre thread def highlights how close this one is to 1000 feet and we are def taller than Cityspire now. :) |
^ Won't be long before it overtakes 220 CPS.
