Does anyone know how many feet wide is is on the narrow side? I'd guess 50'.

porkmedallions Oct 22, 2017 7:48 PM

I am gobsmacked by that cladding.

The shape of those windows make this look like a freaking prison before the cladding gets put on.

It will be a glorious day when the terra-cotta becomes visible in the skyline.

I can't believe how much joy wer're getting from simply watching structures of these magnitudes ascend.

NYguy Nov 3, 2017 3:20 AM

Now I'm waiting for the setbacks. That will be a glorious day.

rofina Nov 3, 2017 10:01 PM

The cladding on this tower is unreal.

What a gym this is.

Am I right in assuming that those square holes are to anchor the facade to the structure?

Roadcruiser1 Nov 6, 2017 3:42 AM

What a 10/10 stunner, and she isn't even done yet. Watch out everyone. She is super thin, and she is going to rise super fast.

Hahaha. I guess this is fitting for a supertall.

TonyL Nov 6, 2017 1:08 PM

One of the things I find the most interesting is the "prized view" of Central Park all of these supertalls boast of. I would want the view of Midtown and the Financial District. Probably just not really grasping the need to be close to green space.

They will get that view as well. But that view in particular you can get from any number of Midtown residential towers. The park view, not so much, which is why it's a prized view.

Looks good,.

LouisVanDerWright Nov 6, 2017 10:17 PM

I like the facade, but I don't like that 90% of the sheer wall side glass isn't an actual window.

TonyL Nov 6, 2017 11:02 PM

Man that picture in post 2012 really emphasizes how tall this building will appear with the vertical lines in the cladding. That is going to be crazy to watch go up. I posted a picture of this one on my FB page the other day and to read all the "nope, wouldn't live there. Too tall and too skinny" comments were comical considering these are multimillion dollar residences. Has anyone seen any interior renderings yet of what the top units might look like?
