Ugh, totally underwhelming.
The views are going to be amazing but that design is banal. Montrose deserves better. |

The design is somewhat of a disappointment, but overall it's much better than what's on the site currently. It will be nice to see this and Chelsea Montrose rise at the same time.

:previous: I agree with all of you. :yuck: Hopefully this will not be the tallest structure in this area of town.

I passed the site, but did not look at the backside. Demo is farther along than I thought.
Looks like they're doing a deconstruction, rather than a demolition.
I pray the developer will bury the remaining power poles.
That's probably a function of NRG. Maybe the developer will bribe them.

I should be back in town, so I'll get a chance to check progress on this one.
The only problem with construction going on everywhere in Houston is I brought home a nice-size nail in my tire the last time I visited. |
Swamplot's got two more pictures.

They've knocked down a lot of the building. And blocked off the street.
As soon as the building comes down does the new one start to rise after the land has been cleared and prepped?
I think once the old building is off, they can drill the piers for the new one.

They were building a wood platform on the street yesterday, looks like it some sort of leveler for a crane? I couldn't get a photo :(
