Wow, nice looking place!
|
That's gonna add a lot of density to Burlington. Would love to see something like that on Hamilton mountain or maybe in the West Harbour after the James North station happens.
|
It seems like Burlington's skyline might start competing with Hamilton's soon if it keeps up this pace.
|
Quality rendering! Very unique building with the shapes and balconies. Looking a lot like Toronto! Thats a big area to fill - and being next to the GO is great!

And the prevailing view in Toronto is that Burlington is essentially part of the GTA, broadly speaking--at least they seem to have expropriated it much like they did Oakville. There's been an enormous influx of Torontonians over the past five years in such nightmare developments as Thomas Alton Village, for example. However, there's no doubt in my mind that both Burlington and Hamilton's economic fate are yoked. They should have their own forum, but one wonders if they care to have one. |

Look at these 2006 stats of where Burlington residents work Burlington 32,665 Oakville 10,105 Mississauga 8,605 Toronto 8,475 Hamilton 8,000 I'd imagine that 7 years later that these stats would be even more skewed towards the GTA and away from Hamilton. Not sure though, anyone know how to get them from here? http://www12.statcan.gc.ca/census-re...NAMEE=&VNAMEF= |
If I remembe correctly the bulk of Hamilton-Burlington communiting is fom Hamilton to Burlington. There's lots of office parks and such out there.

Hamilton 145,480 Burlington 24,270 Oakville 7,090 Toronto 6,925 Mississauga 6,810 Brantford 1,925 So the vast majorioty of Hamiltonians who work, work in Hamilton. The majority of Burlingtonions who work, commute outside of Burlington to work, and the vast majority of them work in the GTA. |
