I don’t know. I just feel like this inability to move past the gentleman’s agreement plays into the worst elements of defeatism that permeate our city. I'm not sure what the answer is. Maybe putting replicas of One and Two Liberty place, The Mellon Bank Center, Three Logan Square, the FMC Tower, the G. Fred Dibona Building, the W Hotel, and One and Two Commerce Square on top on William Penn's head would send the right message.

This is some funny shit! I aint gonna lie I would love to see those created.

Are those Blue LED strips or did they make some rooms with blue lights? I can’t tell on my phone. Looks like LEDs to me.

My guess would be that they simply applied translucent blue film to the windows. But the spacing and size of the lit 'pixels' looks different than the earlier photos; maybe partly an opaque covering with translucent sections.

:yeahthat:
I can’t remember: Which architect submitted this proposal?
I do remember: CEO’s wife and architecture enthusiast Aileen Roberts headed the selection process. She held a private two-stage “selected” design competition - similar to how she scored
Tod Williams Billie Tsien A|P for the Barnes Foundation.
The image above and images of Foster + Partners first proposed design are the only ones that leaked to public.
A male architect’s name was associated at the time I saw and saved the picture, which I should’ve used to rename the file.

Comcast buys its CEO’s sky-high condos for $13.5M, with plans to turn them into Four Seasons suites

Quote:

The three units occupied the entire 45th floor of Comcast’s second Center City skyscraper, at 18th and Arch Streets. The Roberts-controlled company started developing the units, encompassing 14,663 square feet, into a single Four Seasons residence after it bought them for $14.3 million in 2017. The couple bought the condos from a partnership owned by Comcast and Liberty Property Trust, which developed the building, according to Comcast’s filing.
Guess he didn't like the view?

TK2001 May 7, 2021 11:00 PM

So that's why the 45th floor is STILL unfinished

iheartphilly May 7, 2021 11:09 PM

This is clearly a great investment decision by Roberts. Comcast takes it off his hands presumably for a premium and then sells it to 4 Seasons. The rich guy wins lol.
