Diagrams for each continent
Our search form provide not to search buildings by continent. But I have find the way to look all drawings from each continent.
To find some buildings you will copy and paste following keyletters into Country field in search form: Europe ov,elan,rl,den,ac,uk,bel,hu,ul,cz,ten,lb,orw,xe,lt,rtu,pola,gd,eec,tv,roa,orr,stri,ita,fra,sto,fin,germ,vat,rom,ss,ser,sp,-ill Asia stan,di,ore,ira,pal,tur,ind,sr,yr,qa,my,ph,arm,tn,iw,tha,aze,cy,hin,ys,eb,ao,ku,aq,jap,jo,gl,geo,bru,tim,mong,oma,-ro Africa eri,qu,afr,con,ib,io,ig,swa,nda,oc,mau,mali,zam,mad,su,sie,sen,bw,nz,tun,og,roo,ken,ivor,fa,ango,ben,hana,pt,nea,-pa North America ama, nic,ho,hait, tem,ex,cos, nad, een,lv,cub, ited s South America nti, guay,ob,zu,per, bra, bol, ile, ecu, col, guia, Australia and Oceania ew,isl, mic, stra, fij,yn |
Stupid TV Masts making the diagram look idiotic.
Great idea and thanks Artemco! |
Cool tool. But we should also have a list for the abbreviation of countries for
making own collections. |
I think this deserves to be sticked, for easier future reference.

Great job Artemco.
If I did that, it might've driven me insane. |
i really interesting to draw diagram building..anyone,please help me....thanks!
can i make it using sketchup? |
No, Sketchup can't be used. Most general graphics work though.
|
Is there a legal reason that Sketchup can't be used? I am pretty sure that there was a way to render images from it in the proper perspective.
|
I suppose it can be used but I don't know if the quality of the rendered images would be good enough. Try it I suppose.
|
There are plugins that improve the quality beyond Sketchup's basic capabilities. The people in the Sketchup forum can probably explain it better.
|
The problem with Sketchup is with the photographs of stone, brick, concrete, metal, etc., that are applied to the surface of the models. You can't use photographs on the diagrams.

^^ Delete please this off-top

Very handy indeed. I've been having a lot of fun with these diagrams. My only beef is that making the palace of westminster appear is almost impossible. What gives? What category is it?
|
Great idea, I have always been looking for continent diagrams! Thanks!:)
About the Google sketchup issue, you can make drawings from sketchup, if you drawn the textures yourself, then there will be no photo copyright issue. |
This was great advice. Thanks ! :)
I didn't know you could use those short labels and I couldn't fit all european country names in the box. But now you can. It's great. |
you can look skyscraper diagrams by continents by one click at my site

Didn't know where to post this error request for update but I thought I would try here first. In the data base for city drawings it indicates Mexico instead of Mexico City. Obviously we know that Mexico is the nation and Mexico City the city name.

About the correct name: Some time ago I have a conversation with other editors, some of them says the name "Mexico City" is a kind of international code, but real names are not "codes" is not a rule signed by all, it's a way of some people to describes as their culture use to make it, but their custom way to do the things is not a rule for all, I think is not a law to try to translate all to english, My name is not different if I go to another country, the same thing happen for countries or cities, we not use to translate "Los Angeles" to "The Angels City" or "Texas" to "Roof Tiles State" or "Santa Fe" to "Saint Faith City" or "Florida" to "Flowered State" or "Nevada" to "Snowed State" we don't have right to change names just for customs without a logical support. If we must change the name of Mexico we should put the name "Ciudad de Mexico" not Mexico City... By the way -a historic capsule- , the town was named Mexico first ( translated from their original language "on the middle of the moon lake"*) and when all the territories became as a country "takes" the same name too, but we have to know the right name of the country is "Mexican United States" not Mexico, right now (dec 2015) the senate approves a complex change of name from Distrito Federal (Common Territory for the government of the federation of all mexican states) to Ciudad de México but now as a kind of same level as a state... I'm sure we have to preserve the simplicity and just maintain Mexico free of "City, State or Country" words. *https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-meaning-of-Mexico-City |
Will be great if the default Diagrams-page includes also a short diagram by continent placed under the traditional Diagrams "World SS Diagrams 2023"+"World SS Construction"+"World SS 2028" or elsewhere as text (link) with the compilation made by Artemko on the top of this thread to have a quickly access to that diagrams.
