I see that PAL quietly dropped YOW-YFC but increased YOW-YQM to 5x weekly ops X36. Most flights are on the DH4 with a few DH3s sprinkled in. Also the flights no longer stop at YDF but a connection at YQM to YDF is now offered. YYT is now same-plane 1-stop service to match Porter.

PAL continue to serve YFC but with that DH1 that goes to YDF via YQM and meets up with the YOW flight to connect to YYT. YOW connections to/from YFC aren’t possible.

This was noted on another forum, but it appears WS might be dropping YYZ-LGW at the end of October?

They are only selling full-fare J W Y class bookings after October 29th, even right into next summer.

If so, does this mean they'll transfer the use of that slot over to YVR in the winter?

Man, the media here is just blasting Pearson. Interviewing people who spent 4-5 days in the airport trying to get here and gave up and went back wherever they came from.

And I have a personal connection to one. The woman who owned this house before me (NYC-based artist, lived here for 12 years, still wishes she could live in two places at once so she wouldn't have to sell this place haha). She left NY without an issue, two days at the airport in Canada - DAYS - and considered just going home but waited it out (she's coming to volunteer at our folk festival as she did when she lived here). She's finally here, sans luggage. She has a tag on it that she can see on her phone and it's still at Pearson lol

It reminds me of... I think it was January? When St. John's could basically only land private planes due to a labour dispute, and we were all "How can it reach this point in a developed country?" And then Pearson was like "Hold my beer..." lol

This is my third summer in a row where I've had a vacation flight to YHZ booked and I was certain it was finally going to happen this year as I pack for departure on Friday, but now I have my doubts :haha:

90 minute stop in YYZ on the way there, 60 minutes at YUL on the way back. Seems iffy.

I can live with an overnight stop in YYZ but if it gets too messed up and I can't get an onward connection, I guess it just might suddenly become a trip to southern Ontario instead of NS/NB/PEI.

JK. I seriously wish them well. Moncton now has two western Canadian destinations. Direct non stop via Swoop to Edmonton and direct one stop via Canada Jetlines to Winnipeg.

This is starting to become a theme. If I remember correct Prince George airport also has substantial structural wood elements to it.

I think it makes for a warmer feeling. Love the ceiling in those renderings. We should see more of that in public buildings in BC.

Definitely a push to capture more of the Indian, Pakistan, and Bangladesh market for AC as Canada has a large Diaspora here.
Wonder if this means we will see future Dubai flights from either AC or EK in Vancouver or Calgary, or AC moving to Terminal 1 in Dubai.
