Lennar Multifamily Communities and architect Perkins + Will make their first design presentation on Oct. 19 about two 32-story residential towers planned for an L-shaped site at 1101 Eighth Ave. on First Hill.

This had a complete master use permit application in January. 565 apartments and 387 parking spaces. It seems like a potential start next winter or spring.

PS, Town Hall is also undergoing a large renovation.

That small bit of the block in the aerial foreground will be a public park. I think the apartment developer is handling construction...it might be their property but it's officially for public use.

I love this project. As two of the five apartments around 330' currently underway on First Hill, these will have outsized impact...this is a gateway to the neighborhood from the CBD due to the relatively flat walk from the uphill side of the CBD. And that spot seems to be developing a critical mass for decent neighborhood retail.
