Where is world's tallest gasometer?

Where is world's tallest gasometer?

My suggestion: Oberhausen gasometer ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gasometer_Oberhausen ) 117 metres tall with 67 metres diametre, but not in use as gasometer today.

I've been up late nights wondering the very same thing.

My great grand-pappy devoted his whole life to finding it... And died a broken man.

There were two pretty tall ones in Brooklyn that got imploded a few years back...

sorry, the above is not a gasometer. My mistake comes from the fact its called "Usina do Gasometro", but in reality, its a thermoeletric powerplant (now deactivated) that got its popular name because it was next to a gasometer, which was demolished.

shit, i never knew that. I researched now, after I saw the pictures posted above of other gasometers and noticed that it was something completely different.

Not the tallest, but certainly the most awesome gasometers are found in Vienna.

And I can't wait to see your pics! Those gasometers and the redevelopment they've made there is amazing.
